The
Mediterranean
Garden of Casa
Caponetti
A
scenery to walk through; a wide landscape where to meet plants and greens,
thousands of rosemary bushes growing and blooming everywhere; and artichoke
edges, flowering arches, and roses of every kind, genista shrubs and
lavender perfuming the air with its fragrance.
Trees
and plants and flowers sowed and planted in the last decade, which pretend
to be born there, to be naturally grown for the pleasure of people walking
by.
You
may pass and smell a rose, sit and watch the gold fishes in the
pool, a bee enjoying the rosemary, birds nesting or chirping.
A
sort of "Jardin Sauvage" with the scent of wild fennel and mint
mixing together, with many secluded spots and nooks where to hide himself
and sit to read, to meditate, or just to delight at the view all around.
"Jardin
Sauvage" but not "casual, uncontrolled or wild. Suggestions from
friends, piece of advice from lanscape architects, suggestions and
hints from skilled gardeners, remembering of books and pictures, and -
first of all - the love for this country, give to this garden its own
personality.
Porch
shaded by wisteria and jasmine, where to stay and read, climbing roses and
vines to shelter the house from the sun, canopy by the house to have a
drink looking at the sunset: a garden is also a place to live in.
